2013 DC High School Baseball Classic

The 2013 DC High School Baseball Classic was played on Sunday, June 2 at Nationals Ballpark. The Wilson Tigers were leadiing The Maret Frogs 1-0 in the 5th innning when the game was halted due to heavy rain. The game resumed on June 5 at Maury Wills field where the Frogs overpowered the Tigers, eventually winning the Championship 10-1. MVP honors were awarded to Maret pitcher Andrew Culp and Wilson pitcher Sean Kelly.



2013 DC High School Softball Championship
The 2013 DC High School Softball Championship was played on Saturday, May 18 at Guy Mason Recreation Center. In the Championship game the National Cahedral School Eagles faced the Maret Frogs. In a barn burner the Eagles beat the Frogs 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning.



2012 DC High School Baseball Classic

The 2012 DC High School Baseball Classic was played on Sunday, May 27 at Nationals Ballpark. The Wilson Tigers captured their 20th straight DCIAA Championship beating Bell High School 12-2. Maret School advanced to the championship game with an 2-0 victory over St. Albans in the private school semi-final. Maret went on to win its first Classic Championship with a 6-5 victory over Wilson.

MVP honors were awarded to Nick Leonard of Maret and Noah Lipshie of Wilson.

The city-wide All-Star Game included players from schools from across the city and ended with the Blue Team outscoring the Red 20 - 2.

2012 DC High School Softball Classic

The 2012 DC High School Softball Classic was played on Saturday, May 18 at Guy Mason Recreation Center.  Georgetown Visitation used an 18-hit attack to defeat the DCIAA Champion School Without Walls 23-1.  Caitlyn Fischer, 3 for 5 with six RBI and Juliette Lewis, four RBI provided pitcher Kate Silk with the support she needed in pitching a four-hitter complete game.  


2011 Congressional Bank Baseball Classic

The 2011 Congressional Bank Baseball Classic was played on Sunday, June 4 at Nationals Ballpark. The Wilson Tigers captured their 19th straight DCIAA Championship beating Cardozo High School 12-0. Sidwell Friends advanced to the championship game with an 8-7 victory over Maret in the private school semi-final. Sidwell went on to win its first Classic Championship with a 5-3 victory  over Wilson.

MVP honors were awarded to Ben Whitener of Wilson and Mark Ossolinski of Sidwell. In the All-Star game, Wilson pitcher Della Romano and St. Albans pitcher Henry Sisson won The Washington Post 2011 Sportmanship Awards.

2010 Congressional Bank Baseball Classic

The 2010 Congressional Bank Baseball Classic was played on Saturday, May 29 at Nationals Ballpark. The Wilson Tigers captured their 18th straight DCIAA Championship beating McKinley Tech 7-0. St. Albans bested Maret 6-3 in the private school semi-final. St. Albans earned a narrow extra-innning victory 2-1 over Wilson in the Chammpionship Game - winning the Modells Cup for the 3rd straight year.

St. Albans Pitcher, Cameron Windham and Wilson Pitcher, Ben Whitener, took MVP Honors. Nicky Raab, of Sidwell Friends, won The Washington Post Sportmanship Award in the 2010 All-star game.



2010 Congressional Bank Softball Classic

The 2010 Congressional Bank Softball Classic was played on Saturday, May 22 at Guy Mason Recreation Center. The Georgetown Visitation Cubs defeated the Anacostia Indians 7-1. MVP awards were earned by Georgetown Visitation Junior Pitcher, Katie Kolbe and Anacostia Pitcher, Patrice Haney.


2009 Congressional Bank Baseball Classic

On Saturday, May 30, 2009 the 2nd Annual Congressional Bank Baseball Classic was held at Nationals Park. In the first semi-final game, Woodrow Wilson won the DCIAA title over HD Woodson 9-1. In the private school semi-final game, St. Albans defeated Gonzaga  8-1, and in the Championship Game, St. Alban’s edged Wilson 5-4 to win the City Championship for the second year in a row. MVP Honors were collected by Wilson sophmore pitcher Jacob Polin and St. Albans senior pitcher Matt Bowman.

The city-wide All-Star Game included players from 18 schools from across the city and ended with the Red Team outscoring the Blue Team 10 - 3.


2009 Congressional Bank Softball Classic

On May 16, 2009 the Inaugural Congressional Bank Softball Classic was held at Guy Mason Park. The Softball Classic was a celebration of high school softball and featured the DCIAA Championship Game: the Wilson Lady Tigers v. the Coolidge Colts. Later in the day a city-wide All-Star Game was held with players from schoolS from across the city. The Classic Championship Game matched DCIAA winner against Georgetown Visitaion with the Lady Tigers edging the Cubs 3-2 in the Classic Championship.

A free skills clinic was held for girls 12 and older and  featured instruction by Amber Jackson and other team members from the Washington Glory Instruction focused on four areas, hitting, pitching, outfield and infield play.


2008 Congressional Bank Baseball Classic

On Saturday, May 31, 2008 the Inaugural Congressional Bank Baseball Classic was held at Nationals Park. In the DCIAA semi-final game, Woodrow Wilson defeated McKinley Tech 13-0. In the private school semi-final game, St. Albans defeated Maret 4-0. In the Championship Game, St. Alban’s defeated Wilson 6-1 to win the City Championship. MVP Honors were collected by Wilson senior Luke Koczela and St. Albans junior pitcher Matt Bowman.

The city-wide All-Star Game included players from 17 schools from across the city and ended with the Blue Team outscoring the Red Team 6 - 3.
